What started as a casual sketch from a photograph .. while tasting some music ..played with water colors .. Feels good to go back to more tangible medium & take a break from digitals.

Why hurry !

Hi all...

yup this post comes pretty quickly since the last but had to share it with all. Theres this blog 'zen habits' rather an amazing one which ive been following for quite long. I read this post last night about ' HOW NOT TO HURRY '.. made me pause & think & rethink .. for all around us in this zipping world this made me hit the pause button .. sitback, zoom out & just enjoy the view (& everything) .. and so i did starting from where I was .. a highly recommended read !
so once in a while just sit back, grab a beer ... relax & savor all !

GUN(d) MACHANA !

Hi ..
i hit this interesting hindi slang of GUN(d) MACHANA while chattering with friends ! also liked the connotation it has with Guns( read : WAR ) being dirty ! & how humans are at helm of spreading that dirt .. thought it made interesting figure of speech .. more like a PUN within Hindi & English !
hence those graphical illustrations ..

Hi ..
Posting an image ( a collage ) with set of illustrations i did for a book of expressive poems in marathi called KAALOKH KAAJAVE ( Literally meaning darkness & fireflies ) by my aunt(mami) Sau. Jayashree Pathak who is a poet & author herself ..
Mostly done with watercolors & pen & ink.. later touched up digitally .
They are mostly moody & expressive illustrations with splashes & washes of inks to go along ..
The book is in progress ..

Hi all...
posting some sci-fi / futuristic stuff &.. also found some interesting quotes on technology..After long played with Graphics & some interesting typefaces I downloaded ..

I love doing sci-fi stuff & its an amazing line to explore & stretch mind... but the thought of a future , lifeless & over digitised with technology laden lifestyle without any vegetation & nature gives me a eerie kind of a feeling.. just a thought I have ..
